Revolutionizing Education: NCEG Leaves Lasting Impact on Georgia's Colleges and Universities

Since its inception in 2013 by students at Georgia State University, the National Collegiate Entertainers Group (NCEG) has been at the forefront of revolutionizing music education and entrepreneurship within the college community. What began as a small initiative has blossomed into a nationwide movement, spreading its influence to prestigious institutions such as Georgia Tech, Kennesaw State University, Georgia Gwinnett College, and the Atlanta University Center (AUC), comprising Clark University and Morehouse College.

At its core, NCEG is dedicated to providing students with unparalleled opportunities to immerse themselves in the music industry while pursuing their academic endeavors. The cornerstone of NCEG's offerings is its Chapter Program, a network of college and university students from diverse majors collaborating to produce music and curate events on their campuses across the nation.

"Since 2013, NCEG has been committed to nurturing the talents and ambitions of students interested in all facets of the music industry," says Founder, Derek Jackson. "Our unique model emphasizes practical experience and valuable insights, irrespective of one's major. Whether you're passionate about music entrepreneurship, marketing, artist management, A&R, publishing, or aspiring to be a recording artist, NCEG welcomes you."

In just over a year, since 2023, NCEG has welcomed over 150 new chapter members, further solidifying its impact and reach within the collegiate sphere. Notably, NCEG has groomed numerous talented students into certified artists/entertainers and entrepreneurs who have found success within the music industry and their communities.

NCEG's commitment to hands-on learning experiences and peer collaboration extends beyond the classroom, offering invaluable networking opportunities and a supportive community for career advancement. Participants not only acquire essential skills but also emerge as leaders poised to shape the future of the entertainment industry.

"Dedicated to equipping students with the tools for immediate entry into Georgia's thriving entertainment sector, NCEG serves as a launchpad for aspiring professionals," adds CMO, Dasha Ware. "Through collaboration and mutual interest with their peers, students not only enhance their college experience but also build reputations that open doors for them post-graduation."

As part of its journey, NCEG has curated numerous events, including educational panels, workshops, and the acclaimed MOGULS Music Competitions, which have left an indelible mark on the careers of emerging artists. The competitions have showcased over 100 emerging talents from the Chapter Program, coached by distinguished music industry veterans, resulting in the discovery of exceptional talents from diverse colleges and universities.

"Our algorithmic evaluations, scored on a 100-point scale, with the artists completing with a standardized average of 70, which have proven to be reliable indicators of potential future success," Founder, Derek Jackson concludes. "With various exceptionally gifted artists across genres gracing our stages, NCEG continues to shape the landscape of music education and entrepreneurship."

In 2024, NCEG plans to expand its influence across numerous colleges and universities throughout the nation, with the goal of inspiring students to follow their interests and contribute to shaping the future of the entertainment industry.
